BPA free?

I was pointed to a contest to win one of two BPA feeding kits by the delightful Tonya.

I have been hearing about a lot of people choosing to use the "Born free" bottles for their babies recently, as well as just bad things about plastics in general.

It's one of those things that I feel like I should do something about, particularly for Ant's sippy cups because he chews the hell out of the lids, and I can actually see little fibers coming off. But at the same time, finding plastic free (or BPA-free) kids stuff is not the easiest thing in the world, and I hate to say it, but I've just been too damn lazy.

But, thanks to Tonya and the soft landing site, it's just gotten a lot easier.

Thanks, Nico. I entered and just beat the deadline as well. I just bought a Nuby sippy cup last week--now I feel guilty for not checking the type of plastic.

Hey, you just made my day! Thanks for your kind words (and hope someone we know wins one of those!).

BTW, I like the Born Free sippies and Tiny Boy really, REALLY likes them... but am wondering if I need to replace the sippy/nipple tops because they will leak if left in the tipped over position. (We've had ours for a few months now. Haven't had this problem before with some of the more traditional sippy cups until they were YEARS old.) FWIW.

Hey, Nic! Long time no talk ... I just stopped by the old blog to see how you were doing and I am thrilled with your news! Congratulations!!!

As always, I'm just about six months behind you ... Quentin is now 16 months old and we're TTC no. 2. I wouldn't say I've conquered HA, but at least I'm cycling again although not regularly. I'm still BFing, so I guess that's not a surprise. I'm in the 2WW right now... we'll see if we did it this month!

My life is very different now -- I quit my job to get my teaching certification and am currently student teaching so I have very little time to do much else. But the summer looks very promising!

Well, take care and best wishes to all of you. I've got the new site bookmarked now so I'll try to check in more often.
