Want it, want it, WANT IT!

So I've been thinking that Ant is getting the sippy cup reasonably well already. I've weighed it before and after he's drank from it, and he'll take anywhere from 1/2 to 1 ounce. Which is not much, but definitely enough that I can tell that it's not all going down his front and he is actually drinking some.

I fed Ant his solids for dinner last night, and have usually been giving him a sippy cup with some water in it to go along with that. I didn't yesterday because the cups were both in the dishwasher, so as we were playing after dinner, he seemed to be wanting something, so I got the sippy cup out to fill it with water and give it to him.

Oh my gosh - I have never seen him want something so badly! He saw me take it out, and his eyes went all big, and he started reaching for it... it took me a little while to get the top screwed on properly, and boy did that make him mad. I was absolutely astonished! He grabbed for it as soon as I got it near him, stuck the spout in his mouth and sucked away. Of course then he got too much liquid and started to cough. But he sure did know what he wanted! My friend A was over, and she and I couldn't stop laughing!
